…es un software que permite comunicaciones de texto, voz y vídeo sobre Internet. En el aula, es una herramienta fundamental para realizar videollamadas, llamadas telefónicas y comunicaciones por medio de texto en tiempo real y de un modo directo. El alumnado y el profesorado pueden hacer intercambios con otros centros educativos del mismo país o con centros de cualquier parte del mundo, siempre que haya disponibilidad horaria.
Se pueden crear grupos de discusión sobre proyectos colaborativos. Los docentes pueden planificar distintas tareas con su alumnado para realizar actividades de intercambio entre los distintos centros. De forma que:
- Se practica la lengua oral se mejora las competencia comunicativa en distintos idiomas.
- Se trabaja modelos pedagógicos innovadores mediante la investigación y la metodología activa.
- Se conocen otras culturas y tradiciones de nuestro entorno y de otras partes del mundo.
- Se crean situaciones educativas más cercanas al alumnado, ya que son protagonistas y se realizan a tiempo real.
- Se mejora las competencias básicas, destacando la competencia digital y comunicativa.

“No,” says Moffat. “I don’t really care either. I consider it an honour and an homage. Its nice to know my painting has been so far reaching.”
Moffat says he won’t be pursuing any legal action for the clear rip off of his painting. “As long as they’re using it for something I agree with, I don’t have a problem with it. Julian Assange has been dealt a huge injustice and I fully endorse Time Magazine wanting to help clean up his reputation,” says Moffat. “I painted it because I wanted to fight censorship in the wake of September 11th. I think its definitely doing that, even if the topic has changed over time.”

Julian Assange has become by establishing Wikileaks, an organization that publish official documents that are kept secret or classified by governments or corporate entities. Wikileaks receive documents from sources kept anonymous, then send the leaks to journalists in different countries and publish them online too. Since the creation of this organization a lot of secret information concerning important political figures in “powerful” countries has been leaked and put some political entities in a very bad position.
The TIME Magazine issue of December 13th, 2010 dealt with the Wikileaks phenomena putting a picture of Julian Assange with an American flag on his mouth on the cover page with the following headline: “Do You Want to Know a Secret?”. First, it is very attractive because people are seeking for added value content, they want to learn about something not everybody knows about. Second, Julian Assange is known for revealing classified documents and here, TIME Magazine is talking about revealing secrets concerning the organization that is known to be a secret revealer. Of course, the article titles posted under the headline are attractive too because they bring answers to questions that most of the people are asking: Where and how does Julian Assange get those leaks and what will be the impact on America?
The cover picture has a very mysterious atmosphere and this through three characteristics: The black and white effect, the light effect and the look in the eyes of Assange. The black and white effect is often used to create a special atmosphere and in this case it is supported with a special lighting effect: Half of Assange’s face is completely filled with light and the other half is more shadowy. What does this effect mean? It means that there are two faces for Assange, one that is his public figure known by everyone and another one that is more mysterious and that you don’t know about. In addition to the black and white effect and the lighting, the look in Assange’s eyes will make you feel that this person is thinking or planning something very important in his head you don’t know about.

Ante este acoso y derribo injustificado en mi opinión y la de muchos otros, servidor es de los que cree que nosotros los ciudadanos debemos ayudar a WikiLeaks en lo posible así que seguidamente voy a aportar mi pequeño grano de arena mediante la recopilación de diferentes recursos e informaciones útiles para echarle un cable a Wikileaks.

2.- Boicot
No voy a entrar ahora a valorar si los boicots son o no realmente efectivos. La realidad es que hay uno en marcha contra PayPal y Amazon por expulsar a WikiLeaks y si te quieres unir solamente tienes que dar de baja tus cuentas en ambos servicios:Cómo cerrar una cuenta de PayPalCómo cerrar una cuenta de Amazon
3.- Alternativas a PayPal y Amazon
Si eres de los que no se une al boicot comentado justo en el punto anterior porque no puede prescindir de PayPal o Amazon debes saber que existen bastantes servicios alternativos para ambos casos:Listado con alternativas a PayPalEn el caso de Amazon no hay ningún otro “proveedor cloud computig” mejor, pero quizás IBM, Google o Akamai te sirvan igualmente
4.- Ayuda profesional
WikiLeaks también necesita gente que les ayude con sus conocimientos. Concretamente han pedido la ayuda de abogados (si te interesa manda un email a wl-legal@sunshinepress.org) y de informáticos (en este caso el email para los interesados es wl-supporters@sunshinepress.org).
